Acclimatization is an essential part of Mera Peak climbing. This itinerary includes an acclimatization day at Tangnag, a preparation and acclimatization day at Khare, an overnight at high camp and a reserve day for summit contingency.
The itinerary may be adjusted by the climbing guide according to weather, snow conditions, altitude, individual health, group performance and mountain safety.
The distances, elevations and walking times mentioned in this itinerary are approximate. Actual walking times may vary depending on trail conditions, weather, altitude, group pace, acclimatization and the condition of the route.
Mera Peak is a high-altitude climbing expedition rather than an ordinary trekking trip. Although the standard route does not normally require advanced technical climbing skills, climbers must be physically fit and prepared for glacier travel, snow, cold temperatures, long summit days and high-altitude conditions.
Previous high-altitude trekking or climbing experience is strongly recommended.
Mountain weather can change rapidly. The climbing guide has the authority to modify the itinerary or postpone the summit attempt whenever conditions are considered unsafe.
The safety of our clients and climbing team always comes first.
