The figures presented below are based on the monthly tourism statistics published by the Nepal Tourism Board (NTB).

Total January–September 2026 — 865,920 international tourist arrivals
From January through September 2026, Nepal recorded a total of 865,920 international tourist arrivals. This year-to-date total is calculated from the monthly figures published for the first nine months of 2026.
The number of international visitors varied from month to month during the first nine months of 2026.
March recorded the highest number of tourist arrivals, with 120,516 international visitors. April followed with 107,934 arrivals, while February and May recorded 105,441 and 102,626 arrivals respectively.
June recorded 91,363 international tourist arrivals, September recorded 88,248 arrivals, August recorded 85,444 arrivals, while July recorded 71,775 arrivals.
Monthly fluctuations are normal in Nepal's tourism industry. Visitor numbers can be influenced by seasonal travel patterns, weather conditions, trekking seasons, international travel demand, holidays, flight connectivity, and the monsoon season.
