Trekkers heading to Annapurna Base Camp (ABC) need to obtain the required trekking permits before entering the Annapurna region.
For a standard Annapurna Base Camp Trek, the following permits are required:

The TIMS Card is required for trekking routes in the Annapurna region, including the Poon Hill–Annapurna Base Camp Trek.
Current TIMS fee:
Foreign nationals: NPR 2,000 per person
SAARC nationals: NPR 1,000 per person
TIMS is issued through a government-registered trekking agency, and the Annapurna routes covered by the current TIMS provision require trekkers to be accompanied by a licensed trekking guide.
The Annapurna Base Camp Trek enters the Annapurna Conservation Area, so trekkers must obtain an Annapurna Conservation Area Permit (ACAP).
Current ACAP fee:
Foreign nationals: NPR 3,000 per person per entry
SAARC nationals: NPR 1,000 per person per entry
The ACAP permit is required for entry into the Annapurna Conservation Area and applies to trekking routes within the protected area..jpeg)
For the standard Annapurna Base Camp Trek, there is no restricted-area trekking permit such as the special permits required for areas such as Upper Mustang or parts of Manaslu.
However, if your itinerary includes additional restricted or specially regulated areas outside the standard ABC route, different permits or fees may apply.
When you book your Annapurna Base Camp Trek through Nepal Everest Himalaya Hiking Pvt. Ltd., we arrange the required trekking permits as part of the trekking preparation.
We use the details provided by each trekker to process the necessary documentation before the trek.
Trekkers should carry their permit details during the journey, as permits may be checked at designated points along the trekking route.
Permit fees and trekking regulations may change from time to time as determined by the relevant authorities.
The information and fees presented on this page are based on the currently published requirements available from the concerned Nepal authorities. As regulations may be updated, we recommend confirming the latest permit requirements before your trek.
If you are planning an Annapurna Base Camp Trek and are unsure which permits are required for your itinerary, please contact us. Our team will be happy to provide guidance and arrange the necessary trekking permits as part of your trek preparation.
We look forward to helping you prepare for a safe, well-organized and memorable journey to Annapurna Base Camp.
